Florafolia grew out of Alstonville Plants, a family-run Northern Rivers nursery. We focus on growing quality greenlife to specification and delivering complete schedules to project sites across the eastern seaboard.

Meet the team
Lynne Sutherland
Co-owner and Managing Director
After a successful corporate career as a senior executive in several ASX top 10 companies, Lynne understands what it takes to run a business and deliver projects successfully. She brings that rigour, alongside her passion for plants, customers and people, to leading Florafolia.
Lynne holds a degree in Horticultural Science from Lincoln University and postgraduate qualifications in management. She is Chair of the Northern Rivers GINA and a non-executive director of GINA.
Her hobbies include travel, cooking and collecting Hoyas: a passion she has grown since she was 10, in the deep south of New Zealand.
Josh Duncan
Nursery Manager
Josh is our Nursery Manager and a mad-keen tree grower, with more than 10 years of experience here and in other commercial tree nurseries. Cert III qualified in Production Nursery Operations, he leads the team in delivering the production plan, and was recognised as GINA Next Genner of the Year in 2024.
His hobbies include fishing, and he fancies himself as a food connoisseur. His favourite plant? He says it's a long list.
Fabiola Estremadoyro
Marketing and Office Manager
Fabiola holds a Masters degree in Marketing and brings genuine passion for plants and sustainability to her role. Multi-talented and with great attention to detail, she manages our office, marketing plan and inventory management system, and with co-owner and director Richard is responsible for improving productivity through the use of AI to support a seamless customer experience, keeping Florafolia running smoothly.
Her hobbies are Yin Yoga, sound healing, beach walks and weight lifting. Her favourite plants are white Anthuriums.

Our nursery production team are all Cert III qualified with an average of more than 10 years of hands-on nursery experience. This depth of expertise underpins our quality standards and production reliability.
